Report from the Philippines

We have been here just over a week so thought it was about time I stuck something on the blog.  The journey here was pretty uneventful …. oh with the exception of 3 cases that didn’t make it and the fact that a tropical storm meant Terry and Sue were diverted to an airport 55 miles north of manila.  Anyway, 3 hours later than expected we all arrived.  The first couple of days were stormy but since then we have had flat calm seas and lovely hot sunshine.  Diving has been excellent, with the exception of the over zealous Trigger fish who have attacked several of the group – one smashed into my lens while another bit Paul on the elbow – we now ask for dive sites without trigger fish!  The snap happy camera crew are all getting some excellent shots and if it stays still for  nano second then at least 10 flash units attempt to blind the poor creature.  My big camera has been responsible to the darwinian evolution of a sub species of fish with blindfolds.  There have been a few special moments – Korean eco terrorists trying to decimate the newly grown coral on the Alma Jane, Eric’s disappearance for 2 days.  Oh and Moira has her 100th dive tomorrow – so the cameras are going to be out again – well you know the rules Moira!

Anyway, here are a few photos.  More to report before we go.
