digital underwater photography
During the
PADI Digital Underwater Photography speciality course, you learn the PADI SEA (Shoot, Examine and Adjust) method, which takes full advantage of digital technology. Topics covered include:
The course is divided into 2 sections. In the first section we look at theory and practical skills. This includes learning what equipment you will need, how to keep your equipment maintained and water tight and basic underwater photography techniques. Using the manual to guide you we will cover what spoils underwater photos, how to get colour back including filters and white balance, exposure, angle, sharpness, and the use of macro. The second section includes open water practice and also looks at the processing of digital pictures, file formats and resolution settings, composition, analysis and editing and organization and archiving.
The cost of this busy one day programme is £99. This includes the crewpack, standard scuba equipment hire and certification. Site fees or boat fees are payable in addition, however the cost of inland water entrance fees is included for club members. If you are undertaking a PADI Advanced Open Water course you may combine the section of the programme into the programme for an additional £75. To participate on this course you must be a PADI Open Water Diver or hold a similar qualification from another training organization. Minimum age is 15 and you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.
