There is always plenty of diving going on in the area and further afield. While as a club we do a lot of local diving on some of the excellent wrecks and dive sites around the Isle of Wight and the Sussex coast we also run frequent away trips usually for the whole weekend. If you don't have a buddy, don't worry; we will fix you up with one. Club pool nights are on Tuesday evenings and as a club member you use the pool for free - thats every Tuesday evening. You can also use a fulll set of gear for pool nights for just £5. That's about it, except for the fact that we also run between 4 and 6 holidays a year, all of which are excellent value.
On
the social side, we meet on a regular basis, usually on the first
Thursday of each month in the Coast Bar of the Royal Beach hotel, but check with the dive centre to make sure it is on. These meetings are a great opportunity
to have a chat and a drink with other club members and find out what is going
on and about 70 - 80 members turn up on a regular basis. Food is provided and is free to club members and guests
are more than welcome for a small fee. As well as the regular meetings, we also hold several
large events each year such as Christmas and Summer Balls. They are regularly attended by over 130 members
and their guests and are subsidized
by the club making a great value night out.
If you would like to join the club, membership costs just £10 a month (we like to think of it as roughly the same cost as a pint of cheap beer a week!) payable by standing order. Call into the dive centre for an application form or download an application form using the link on the right and send it to us. We look forward to diving with you soon.
