Cowes and a Curry

By August 10, 2014Dive Club

Red Arrows at CowesIt was a great plan.  Meet at the boat, zip over to Cowes for the last night of Cowes week, watch the Red Arrows, have a curry, watch the fireworks and zip back.  We first did it in 2009 when we cruised up the Medina to the Folly Inn so we thought it was about time to do it again.

The boat was full with 12 and as the 12 excited adventurers climbed into Rebellion …… the heavens opened.  Once everyone was totally soaked it didnt really matter much and we carried on enjoying the evening.  It was eventful to say the least, with over zealous harbour masters, a collision with the marine police boat (while we were moored alongside the marina!!!), the slowest restaurant service ever, and some interesting navigation light issues, but great fun.  Definitely something to do again next year.
