Oceanic Dealer of the Year – 2010

It is always nice to be recognized when you do something well and at the recent Oceanic dealer seminar we were awarded a “Dealer of the Year” trophy for our work with the Hollis technical range of equipment. Not too shabby eh?

O’Neil 3mm Gloves v Oceanic Mako 5mm Gloves
We turned up at Vobster the other Sunday to water at a chilly 4 degrees. Is this the right time to try a 3mm glove I ask myself? Could have waited for warm climes!
Off we went for the first dive with the O’Neil 3mm gloves on. These gloves have a small internal seal around the wrist. Very easy to pull on dry. The question is, do they let in water. I can safely say they do when wearing a dry suit, however the seal does mean they act like a semi dry and do not let water out again. Oh yes easy to pull on wet as well. Read More…
TecRec Xplor Day

We attended the TecRec Xplor day in Portland on 4th December and it was a pretty good day out. There were only a few stands there, but there was a lot of interest in the Sidemount system and Ian did around 20 try dives on the gear in the pool.

Another busy weekend of training with 3 courses running. The first of the new Tec 40 courses and Sidemount courses, plus the completion of an Open Water. There was a lot of interest in the sidemount harness system and technique of diving down at Chepstow. Read More…

New Fuji F80EXR Camera and Housing

Fuji have done it again with the launch of their latest piece of technical wizardry – the Fuji Finepix F80EXR package. We thought the last one was good but this is just brilliant. As well as the EXR software, it has a fully functional manual operation suite as well as HD Video. Read More…
