Digital Underwater Photography

The PADI Digital Underwater Photography speciality course lets you get to grips with your camera.  It uses the PADI SEA (Shoot, Examine and Adjust) method, which takes full advantage of the latest digital technology. Topics covered include:

  • Choosing and using modern digital cameras
  • Underwater housings
  • Getting good shots quickly using the SEA method
  • The primary principles of underwater photography
  • Editing and sharing your pictures

There are two parts to the programme.  In part one we will cover the theory and application of practical skills.  In part two, having planned the shots we want to take, we will apply that knowledge on 2 open water dives before finally manipulating the images to get the desired effect.  This one day course includes 2 dives and costs £159.  This includes manuals, instruction, certtification and boat fees.  Cameras are available to hire for the course.
