Drifting along with the current allows you to see so much more; its a bit like flying underwater, and the PADI Drift Diver speciality course shows you how to do it safely. At some stage you will inevitably encounter a dive site that has a current and knowing what to do is essential. The course covers:
- Planning, organization, procedures and techniques
- Special Equipment – floats, reels and lines
- Proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation, and communication
- Site selection and an overview of aquatic currents, their causes and effects
- Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group
This course is great fun and is conducted over one day. The cost is £149 which includes materials, certification and boat fees.
