Tec 40

The entry point into the technical range, Tec 40 provides a transition from recreational to technical diving.  It is noit intended to replace the Deep diver speciality but some may find it more useful.

This course can actually be undertaken with the use of modified recreational gear.  All that is required are two separate regulators, with one of the first stages fitted with a long hose. So while a twin set is preferred you could use a single and pony cylinder combination.

The intended working limit for a diver at this level is 40 metres with up to 10 minutes of non-accelerated decompression. Any EANx mix up to 50% oxygen content can be used.  To join the course, you must be the equivalent of a PADI Advanced Open Water diver, with an EANx Diver rating and have some deep recreational diving experience.  The cost of the course is £349 which includes all materials, manuals and slates, and certification.
