The PADI Drift Diver speciality course is designed to be an introduction to drift diving and to help the student diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for safe drift diving.  It looks at a range of considerations including:

• Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving
• Special Equipment - floats, reels and lines
• Proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation, and communication
• Site selection  and an overview of aquatic currents, their causes and effects
• Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group

The course is conducted over one day and includes 2 open water dives.  The price of the course is £99 which includes the crewpack, equipment and certification.  Boat fees are payable in addition.  To participate on this course you must be a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Divers or a similar qualification from another training organization.  Minimum age is 12 and you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.
