Sri Lanka here we come …..

We are flying to Sri Lanka tomorrow in order to start filming for the Plastic Oceans documentary.  The first shoot is Pygmy Blue Whales off the southern tip of the island.  They migrate from Australia every year through the middle of the Indian Ocean and part of the documentary will be about finding out if they are eating plankton, or just plastic.  For an update, film clips and stories as you go, come back here on a regular basis but for more details go to the Plastic Oceans website

More Filming – this time it’s Trout!

Not quite as glamorous as Norway, this time it was filming at a trout farm just outside Winchester.  Same crew, slightly warmer, even more fish …… 59,000 in one small lake.  Talk about Hitchcock-es.  Great fun though and great to work with Tooni, John and the guys from Fresh One Productions.

Filming in Norway

Recently I had the opportunity to fly to Norway with Tooni Mahto (BBC Oceans) and cameraman John McIntyre to film on a cod farm in Tromso just inside the Arctic circle.  The progrmme is for Jamie Oliver’s company and is called “Jamie’s Fish Supper” so make sure you check it out on Channel 4 in the New Year
