The PADI Enriched Air Diver Speciality course is designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air (nitrox) for no stop recreational diving.  The programme addresses the use of enriched air with 22% to 40% oxygen, with the emphasis on enriched air with 32% and 36% oxygen.  You will look at a number of topics including:

• The primary purpose of using enriched air
• Advantages and disadvantages of using enriched air
• Calculating maximum operating depth
• Equipment implications
• Blending techniques and analysing gas
• Use of the Equivalent Air Depth Table and enriched air RDPs
• Calculating oxygen uptake
• Dive planning, organization and emergency procedures

The course is conducted over 1 day and does not require dives.  The price of the course is £85 which includes the crewpack and certification.  To undertake the course you must be a PADI Open Water Diver.  Minimum age is 15 and you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.
