rescue diver
better training ....
Take
a subject like accident prevention and management and turn it into fun! The
newly revised PADI Rescue Diver programme run by Triton Scuba does just that
by introducing new topics and expanding your existing skills in an enjoyable
way. The end result is a diver with the knowledge and confidence to help others
in distress. We firmly believe that the rescue course is probably the most
important (and incidentally the most fun) course in the entire PADI programme
and we are proud of our commitment and expertise in this area of training.
more realism ....
The
Rescue Diver course is designed to introduce topics and skills progressively.
A sense of realism is injected through practice in confined and Open Water.
Your abilities are assessed throughout the course and culminate in your involvement
in various accident scenarios at the end of the programme in which you put
all your newly acquired skills into practice. Some of the topics covered include:
The price of the Rescue Course is £219. This price includes equipment hire, materials and certification, but not entrance fees to open water training sites or any boat fees - approximately £30 - £40. You need to be at least 15 years of age and a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
more experience ....
EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE
A pre-requisite to undertake the Rescue Course is first aid training. If you dont have it we can provide the training through our busy and experienced first aid training division, First Aid Solutions. This practical hands-on one day course takes place the weekend prior to the Rescue Diver programme
and covers training in primary care including primary assessment and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillation. The programme also includes Secondary Care and looks at illness and injury assessment and care. The above EFR course costs £99.
ADVANCED OXYGEN PROVIDER
We run our own advanced oxygen providers course to supplemtn the introduction to O2 that is provided within the EFR course. Advanced oxygen techniques includes the use of manually trigered ventilators and bag mask rescusitation - providing the casualty with up to 100% oxygen treatment. This add-on programme takes 1/2 a day and costs £59. To find out how you can become a better rescue diver call the dive centre.
You will be required to sign a Medical Declaration.
